I am doing a PhD on the governance of social housing tenants with variable mental health capacity. This includes work on governance (Foucault etc), Social Housing and the responsibilisation strategy (Garland) and the responsible tenant (Flint) and mental health being a stigma (Goffman). As I have worked as a police officer and an ASB Housing Manager and have met with situations where those with dual diagnosis and personality disorders were being dealt with punitively by the police and not supported by mental health professionals. If anyone has anything to contribute to this, I would welcome it. I am doing this piece of research whilst teaching as a Senior Lecturer at Bucks New University.
